We're more than happy to report that the second phase of DC's Wharf is quite ahead of schedule - despite the pandemic's numerous supply chain issues and delays that have pushed the world to take it as a norm. The lighter traffic of the pandemic has managed to be of benefit to the contractors and construction workers, as the in and out of workers and materials had been made easier. Delivery is anticipated to begin in November.

The second phase is meant to take over a mile of the Southwest waterfront, with people looking forward to a hotel, several residential buildings, and a few new restaurants. Corporate bigwigs are also coming over, with DC law firm Williams and Connolly slated to have their building finished by Spring 2022. There's also The Atlantic, with their office eyed to be done by the 3rd or 4th quarter of the year.

Two restaurants overlooking the pier are also promised, one with the name not to be
disclosed and the other still in negotiations. With hotels, The Pendry and Amaris is underway, with the latter seemingly managing to start taking up shape.

The Amaris promises an ultra-luxury, 96-unit building with penthouses costing up to $12 million but has water views to die for straight from the residences. The building currently has about 35% sold, according to Hoffman executive vice president Michelle Giannini.

The building's architecture features curved glass bent on-site via cold warping. All units have an outdoor terrace that promises a spectacular view of the Washington channel. There's even a car elevator that takes the resident's vehicles to the ground parking, with a valet taking over for ease of parking. There's also a 24/7 concierge, an indoor saltwater lap pool, 20,000 square feet of amenity space (7,000 of which are devoted to health and wellness), and seven penthouses with four already sold as of writing.
