Arlington is a great place to visit. There are many things for the whole family to do here in this city on Virginia's border with Washington DC. The Smithsonian museums and monuments are free so you can spend as much time there as you want. You'll find plenty of shopping too: from high-end malls like Ballston Common or Pentagon City to unique boutiques like Picket Fences Antique Mall. And if you're looking for something more active, try hiking along one of the nearby trails or biking around town. Getting around Arlington isn't difficult - it has an excellent public transportation system that will take you all over town. The Metro stops right outside the main train station, which makes getting into downtown easy. Or hop aboard any number of buses that run throughout the day. For longer trips, use taxis or rent your own car.
